The Origins of Life and Humanity

Where: UBC Woodward Room #2
When: Friday, November 12 at 7pm
Cost: FREE!

Join the UBC Freethinkers and Reasons to Believe as we discuss the natural and supernatural explanations of the origins of life! This exciting debate will be moderated by Pat O’Brien.

Debater #1:
Dr. Fuz Rana is the vice president of science apologetics for Reasons to Believe. His research as an agnostic biochemistry student provided initial evidence that life originated from a Creator. He is the author of several books including his most recent, The Cell’s Design.

Debater #2:
Dr. Rob Tarzwell is a Vancouver psychiatrist. He completed his MD at the University of Manitoba and is on the clinical faculty at the UBC School of Medicine. He is a former believer who maintains a longstanding interest in whether or not the natural world or its features point to the existence of God. He doesn’t think so.

The event starts at 7pm in Woodward Room #2, with a question and answer period starting at 8.

We will be meeting near the ticket counter around 6:30. I will be wearing a shirt that says “Skepticamp” and has a large flame on it so it should be easy to spot me.
