Skeptical Events this Week!

Hey fellow skeptics! There are a LOT of awesome things going on this week in Vancouver! Be sure to check out at least one or two of them and be sure to say hello to us and get to know everyone!
_____________

This Saturday the 18th will be CFI’s Cafe Inquiry at SFU’s downtown location at the Harbour Centre. This is going to be a classic group exercise in Deliberative Democracy in which small groups of attendees will attempt the task together, then individually to see if their answers differ. This is sure to be an exciting event led by charismatic speaker Ian Cromwell. If you would like to learn more about Ian, check out his blog.
_____________

Also on Saturday the 18th is a free lecture through the Vancouver Institute. Gwynne Dyer, acclaimed journalist, activist, and war specialist will be speaking at 8:15pm in WOOD 2. Be sure to arrive early as this event will probably fill up quickly! Check out the Vancouver Institute’s webpage for more information on their weekly upcoming lectures this fall!
_____________

This Sunday the 19th will be our first Breakfast of Champions this fall! Join us at 10:30am at Cafe de Soleils for a memorable morning of coffee, laughter, and politics!
____________

Last but not least, this Tuesday the 21st is Vancouver’s monthly Skeptics in the Pub downtown! The UBC Freethinkers will be meeting in the SUB at UBC beside Blue Chip Cookies at 7:00pm in order to bus downtown to The Railway Club for a proper introduction into Vancouver’s skeptical crowd! Get ready to kick it the old fashioned way- with pitchers of bqqr, dirty jokes, and good conversation!
