Movie Night and AGM
Okay, this event is actually sponsored by us. We need YOU to attend sothat we can discuss what kinds of upcoming events YOU want. This club is only as strong as its members, so please attend!
We’ll be watching either “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed” OR “Flock of Dodos: The Evolution-Intelligent Design Circus”. Daniel and I haven’t actually be home at the same time in the last few weeks, so we need to discuss. Do you have an opinion? Personally, I think a marathon would be fun, but maybe everyone doesn’t want to spend 5 hours getting pissed off about how people don’t understand the fundamentals of natural selection.
Anyway- the location is TBD as we are still waiting to hear back from AMS, but this event will definitely be held at UBC.
Here’s the facebook event anyway, though.

Terry Talks
Are you obsessed with TED Talks? Did you know that UBC hosts its own version of the TED talks? This little known secret is a gem on campus, and it is once again that time of year! The talks were absolutely fabulous last year- they even fed us! Unfortunately they are charging $7 admission this year; previously they were free. Boo. But- if last year’s talks are any indication, it will be well worth the price!
This conference will be held from 10-4:30 on Sat. Oct. 2nd in the Life Sciences building at UBC (LSC2).
Check out the website to buy tickets.
