Our first event this year was a great success. We had around 40 people show up to listen to a great lecture by blogger and activist Greta Christina about how the atheist movement has some problems with diversity amongst its own ranks and about how it is that we can fix this problem before it gets even worse. I won’t say too much about it as a video has been posted in full online and I will be talking about it more on Radio Freethinker.
Afterwards we met up with the SFU Skeptics for a reception at the Railway Club which was as popular with local skeptics as every other event we have that ends up at the Railway Club.
